About Oorie

Healthy-home technology should feel effortless.

Oorie was created around a simple idea: the technology improving your home should quietly do its job without demanding your attention.

Our mission

Better air. Less thinking about it.

Indoor air changes constantly. Cooking, pets, dust, cleaning products, open windows, and outdoor smoke can all affect the air around you.

We built Oorie to make those changes easier to understand and easier to manage. Our products combine thoughtful industrial design, high-performance filtration, useful sensors, and software that helps your home respond automatically.

The result is technology designed to disappear into the background while making everyday spaces more comfortable.

What we believe

Three principles guide everything we build.

Simplicity

Setup should take minutes. Controls should make sense. Useful technology should not require a manual to live with it.

Intelligence

Your purifier should recognize when conditions change and respond automatically, while always giving you control when you want it.

Design

Technology that lives in your home should feel intentional, quiet, durable, and visually at home in the spaces you care about.

Built for real life

Homes are messy. Technology shouldn't be.

We design Oorie for real rooms, real schedules, real pets, real cooking, and real people who don't want another device to babysit.

Where we are

Built in the heart of the Midwest.

Oorie, Inc. is headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, where our product, operations, finance, and customer teams work together under one roof.

Leadership

The people behind Oorie.

A small team of operators, builders, and product leaders focused on making healthy-home technology simpler.

Founder & CEO

Clay Walter

Clay founded Oorie after spending more than two decades building consumer technology and connected-home products. Earlier in his career, he helped scale two venture-backed hardware companies and led product strategy for a national smart-home platform. After watching his own family juggle allergies, pets, wildfire smoke, and a house full of disconnected devices, he became convinced that indoor air quality was still far too complicated. Oorie grew out of his belief that the best home technology should quietly solve problems before people have to think about them.

Head of Operations

Allen Eaton

Allen runs Oorie's supply chain, fulfillment, customer operations, and service organization. Before joining Oorie, he spent 15 years in consumer electronics and home-appliance operations, including roles overseeing North American distribution, warranty programs, and last-mile logistics. He is known inside Oorie for turning complicated operating problems into simple systems and for insisting that every customer issue ultimately has a clear owner.

Chief Financial Officer

Linda North

Linda leads finance, planning, accounting, and business operations at Oorie. She previously served in senior finance roles at several high-growth consumer and subscription businesses, where she helped teams scale from early-stage growth into disciplined national operations. At Oorie, she focuses on building a durable business around great products, responsible growth, and the kind of customer economics that allow the company to keep investing in better hardware and software.

Chief Product Officer

Val Paul

Val leads product, design, software, and connected-device experience at Oorie. His background spans industrial design, mobile software, and smart-home systems, including product leadership roles at companies building connected lighting, energy-management, and home-security products. He joined Oorie because he believed air-quality technology had been engineered around sensors and filters instead of people. His mandate is simple: make every Oorie product powerful enough for enthusiasts and effortless enough for everyone else.

How we work

Small team. High ownership.

Oorie's leadership team stays close to customers, product details, and day-to-day operations. Product decisions are made with customer support data in the room, and operational decisions are judged by whether they make the customer experience simpler.

Why Kansas

Central by design.

Overland Park gives Oorie access to a deep pool of engineering, operations, logistics, and customer-service talent while keeping the company close to major national shipping routes. It also reflects how Oorie thinks about its products: practical, well-designed, and built for everyday homes across the country.
